NOVOTEL HOTEL PLOVDIV
Judith Gilbert, UK

My husband did a bit of research online before we booked this hotel. We chose it together because it is right at the end of the main shopping street, not far from the Old Town and has a casino (my husband enjoys gambling every now and then). I think it was a great choice because it really is close to everything that the city has to offer. The rooms were otherwise extremely well maintained and kept, and the restaurant (which I think was renovated) was very spacious and pleasant (although we only had dinner there twice because there are so many good places to eat around the city). All in all, we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and ended up having a wonderful time in Plovdiv and will definitely be back for a second trip.

HOTEL NOVIZ
Francois Charbonneau, Lyon, Paris

The hotel is very good value for money. It is very centrally located, it was right at the beginning of the Old Town, so it was a good base for me to really have a thorough look at the many architectural sites (there were sooooo many interesting things to see, I think four days is definitely not enough). My room was bright and roomy and had air- conditioning and internet connection so I could use my lap top and do some research because there isn’t too much tourist information available.

SANKT PETERBURG
Thomas D. Gustavson, Sweden

My assistant booked this hotel because I was attending the Plovdiv International Fair. I didn’t get a chance to see the whole city, because I was only in for 4 days, but the hotel is pretty close to the centre. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. I think that if I ever go to Plovdiv with my family I would stay at the same hotel because of the HUGE water park at the hotel. I really think my children will enjoy it very much.

HEBROS HOTEL
Annabelle Wallis, UK

Whenever we visit a country, my husband and I try to soak in as much of the culture, history and tradition as possible, so we often chose the path less followed. We decided to forgo the large, glitzy, central hotels and instead opt for something more authentic and more representative of Bulgaria. I don’t think we could have chosen a better hotel in Plovdiv!!! It’s got some 200 years of history behind it and is a landmark in itself in the Old Town of Plovdiv. The energy at the hotel was just unbelievable. You really feel like you’re taking a trip back in time, but luckily for us there were none of the modern day necessities missing. Our room was beautifully furnished and had such a unique and elegant character. There is a nice patio/ garden area where we had our morning coffee every day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who’s interested in visiting the historical/cultural sites because the hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town of Plovdiv.

BRIGHT HOUSE
Michael Sutton, Canada

Staying at the Bright House feels more like staying in a really nice and modern apartment rather than like staying in a dingy hotel room. EVERYTHING at the hotel has a contemporary and stylish design to it which we really appreciated because my wife and I like to travel in comfort as much as possible. In that sense, this hotel was a good deal. I think it is brand new and maybe that’s why it’s so nicely decorated. But most of all, we appreciated the location. Our terrace had a wonderful view of the Old town. We found everything to be within walking distance and honestly, the Plovdiv city centre really isn’t that big that you can’t walk to pretty much everywhere.
