New terminal must be built at Plovdiv Airport

200 people will be employed during construction of the new passenger terminal at the Plovdiv airport.
This Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev announced during the ceremony in the first dig of the new terminal, forward the Agency Focus.
Means of terminals are part of the government antikrizisnata program, which is worth 5 billion euro, Stanishev recalled.
In his words Bulgaria is entering a crisis in good condition, especially compared with many European countries.
Stanishev determine the start of construction of the terminal as a good and important event for the Plovdiv and the region. The Prime Minister recalled that the airport was declared back in Sofia, but was not a secret that the conditions are far from those of a real modern airport.
Stanishev pointed out that once the airport construction will be able to accept up to 1000 passengers at peak hours, or 500 000 per year.
Transport Minister Petar Mutafchiev stated that this is the second project which is implemented at the airport in Plovdiv. The first provides for the establishment of 6 new sites for aircraft. The Minister wished the airport in Plovdiv is one of the modern airports in the country
